Central Sterile Processing Technologist
Per Diem, Evenings; Nights


The most qualified candidate will have a working knowledge of the following: decontamination, sterilization, assembly, packaging and monitoring of instrumentation, linen, case cart assembly and specialty cart assembly. This includes processing, reading and documenting biological tests to ensure functionality of sterilization equipment.

 

The ability to identify and assemble surgical instrumentation trays are essential.  Assurance of functionality, cleanliness and completeness of trays will be a primary key to success in this role.

 

Prioritization and multi-tasking under stressful situations are crucial elements of this position.

 

Excellent Customer Service skills and a working knowledge of (the AAMI, NJDOH and Central Sterile Processing) regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the Sterile Processing area, will aide in your successful application for this position.

 

 

The following are requirements for a Central Sterile Processing Technologist candidate:

 

- A high school diploma or equivalent.

 

- CSP certification from a nationally recognized organization (CBSPD or IAHCSMM).

 

- A minimum of 2 years related experience, basic computer skills, communication skills and time-management skills are also required.
