The Outpatient Pediatric Same Day Surgery unit provides nursing care to patients from infancy through 21 years of age. Patients primarily receive care for same day surgical procedures such as hernia repairs and tonsillectomies. This unit also serves as a post-anesthesia care unit for the pediatric patient population. Additionally, this unit provides conscious sedation for procedures such as LP, bone marrow biopsies, MRI, and CT Scans. Medical same day procedures including IVIG infusions, remicade infusions, cytoxan, blood transfusions and endocrine testing are done on this unit as well.
