Help save a life. Give blood.

Blood Donation The blood center has an ongoing need for both blood and platelets. Platelets have a shorter shelf-life than blood, and are especially important for cancer patients. Your help and support is always needed and greatly appreciated. Refreshments and parking are complementary.

All scheduled Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital blood drives will be held in the Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard, stage side, unless noted otherwise. Donors may also schedule an appointment to donate, although walk-ins are always welcomed.

Blood Center Hours

Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Donor Requirements

To donate blood, a person must be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. In New Jersey, a person must be 17 or older to donate.

Blood Drive Schedule

Blood drives will be held on the following dates in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital courtyard.

August 12th, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
August 28th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
September 18th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
October 16th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
November 11th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
November 20th, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
December 18th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
