The National SAFE KIDS Campaign is the first and only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury-the number one killer of children ages 14 and under.
The Campaign enlists the support of corporations, government agencies and the health and safety community to develop injury prevention strategies that enable us to conduct outreach and awareness making injury prevention a public policy priority.
SAFE KIDS Middlesex County has the ability to communicate prevention messages directly to kids and their families through these comprehensive national programs. These programs, involving media events, device distribution and hands-on educational activities for kids and their families, aim to get our local communities more involved in the safety of our children.
Main program areas include:
- National SAFE KIDS Week
- SAFE KIDS BUCKLE UP
- SAFE KIDS Walk This Way
- SAFE KIDS At Home
For more information on any of these programs or to schedule an event, contact Diana Doherty at (732) 418-8026.
