Vascular Interventional Radiology

Our team of vascular/interventional radiologists and neuro/interventional radiologists provides the most modern and complete diagnostic vascular examinations as well as endovascular therapy.

Diagnostic services include state-of-the-art invasive and noninvasive imaging of the arterial, venous and lymphatic systems including diagnostic ultrasound and duplex scanning, magnetic resonance angiography, computed tomography (CT) angiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), spiral CT, and others.

Endovascular services include endovascular interventional therapy, a revolutionary and rapidly evolving noninvasive method of treating certain vascular diseases affecting the arterial and venous system.

All interventions are performed in two dedicated angiographic facilities. Procedures include: angioplasty of the arterial and venous system, endovascular stenting, clot dissolution, atherectomy and vena cava filter placement.

Vascular/interventional radiologists at RWJUH are at the forefront of endovascular intervention in the cerebrovascular system including angioplasty and stenting of the carotid and vertebral arteries, stroke therapy and treatment of aneurysms and vascular malformations. They also have extensive experience in therapeutic embolization for vascular malformation and aneurysms.
