Women's Imaging Center
The Women's Imaging Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital offers the latest technology in mammography, bone mineral density studies, breast, obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds.
All imaging services at the Women's Imaging Center are provided by certified technologists. We use digital mammography, which greatly improves viewing and shortens exam time.
As part of our "triple-read" program, all screening mammograms are read by two physicians who are board-certified in breast imaging. In addition, all mammograms are also reviewed by a Computer-Aided Device (CAD). This is the most accurate way to read screening mammography. We are certified by the Food and Drug Administration and the American College of Radiology.
We perform stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy and MRI-guided biopsy, three of the latest non-surgical diagnostic tools.
An alternative to traditional methods, CAD is now used for both breast MRI and MRI-guided breast biopsy, providing more thorough detection and diagnosis.
Ultrasound is a key diagnostic tool for many women's concerns. We perform all obstetrical, gynecological and breast ultrasounds in a private, comfortable setting. We also perform non-surgical breast biopsies to diagnose breast masses viewed on ultrasound.
We can perform most of these tests in one visit for maximum patient convenience.
