Women's Imaging Center
The Women's Imaging Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital offers the latest technology in mammography, bone mineral density studies, breast, obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds.
All imaging services at the Women's Imaging Center are provided by certified technologists. We use digital mammography, which greatly improves viewing and shortens exam time.
All screening mammograms are read by two physician board-certified in breast imaging. This is the most accurate way to read screening mammography. We are certified by the Food and Drug Administration and the American College of Radiology.
We provide the Mammotone brand of stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, two of the latest non-surgical diagnostic tools.
Ultrasound is a key diagnostic tool for many women's concerns. We perform all obstetrical, gynecological and breast ultrasounds in a private, comfortable setting. We also perform non-surgical breast biopsies to diagnose breast masses viewed on ultrasound.
In addition, the Women's Imaging Center now performs MRI-guided breast marker placement which provides guidance for surgeons performing excisional biopsies of areas only seen under MRI.
We can perform most of these tests in one visit for maximum patient convenience.
