Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Ranked Among Nation’s Top 15 Major Teaching Hospitals
New National Award, Only Hospital in NJ/NY to Make List

New Brunswick, NJ – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has received the 2006 Solucient 100 Top Hospitals®: National Benchmarks for Success Award and is listed among the nation’s top 15 major teaching hospitals. The only hospital in New Jersey or New York to be included on the list of the nation’s Top 100 Hospitals, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital was selected based on performance in four areas: quality, finances, operations and growth.

Evanston, Illinois-based Solucient evaluates hospitals annually, recognizing those, like RWJUH, that are helping to set hospital-wide national standards in a variety of areas, including clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance, efficiency and patient volume. The purpose of the study is to identify the performance standards being set by leading hospitals and provide these standards to other hospitals to help them improve their performance. All hospitals are measured using publicly available data, including data from CMS/Medicare.
