By entering into a joint venture with URG, RWJUH expects to improve services to outpatients, enhance its operations and devote more of its hospital-based diagnostic imaging capacity to inpatients. This will help improve patient satisfaction by reducing overall waiting times for diagnostic imaging procedures.

“We are excited about partnering with URG, which has established an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional imaging services to its outpatients,” explained RWJUH President and CEO Stephen K. Jones. “This partnership will enhance our ability to deliver the highest quality imaging services to all of our patients as well as our employees.”

University Radiology President Robert Epstein, MD, agreed, “We have worked closely with RWJUH, an institution of excellence for over 40 years. We are very pleased that we will be taking the next step together toward providing the best in subspecialty imaging. University Radiology is proud to join RWJUH in their commitment to providing outstanding patient care to our community.”

Jones added, “This partnership and the completion of the Plum Street facility represent our strong commitment to residents within the City of New Brunswick and the entire region that we serve. We want them to know that despite difficult economic times, our academic medical center is moving forward and will continue providing them with access to some of the finest technology, research and medical expertise available anywhere in the nation.”
