Class of 2017

Brandis Belt, MD is a NJ native originally from South Orange. She attended Stanford University where she earned a degree in biological sciences. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Belt has special interests in international and community health. In her spare time, she enjoys writing fiction, reading books on art history, painting and drawing, fishing, and gardening.


Matthew Biernat, MD is originally from Los Angeles. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from the University of California, Irvine. He went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Biernat has special interests in preventive medicine. In his spare time, he loves skiing, running, and swimming.


Michael Green, MD is originally from Howard Beach, NY. He graduated from Adelphi University with a degree in Economics. He went on to pursue a graduate certificate in Healthy Policy and Management from NYU, and a Master’s degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion from Long Island University. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Green has special interests in health policy, and primary care. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, camping, and cars.


Yan Mei Luo, MD is originally from Long Island, NY. She received a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University in Biological sciences, and then went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Luo has special interests in pediatrics and international medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys watching TV, outdoor activities, camping, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family


Amanda Marino, MD is a NJ native, originally from Piscataway. She graduated from Kean University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Marino has special interests in maternity care, women’s health, and international medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family.


Sweta Shah, DO is a NJ native, originally from Toms River. She graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in psychology and went on to earn her medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Shah has special interests in women’s health and preventative medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys watching TV, biking, traveling, and writing.


Kornelia Thomas, MD received her medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland. Dr. Thomas has special interests in women’s health, and preventative medicine.


Class of 2018

Daniela Accurso, MD, MPH is a NJ native from Martinsville, NJ. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Seton Hall University and then went on to earn her MPH from New York University. She then attended St. Matthew’s University where she earned her medical degree. Dr. Accurso has special interests in preventative medicine, community medicine, and public health and policy. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.


Zhanna Ivanov, MD is originally from St. Petersburg, Russia. She came to Rutgers University in New Brunswick to earn her bachelor’s degree in biology and also had concentrated studies in physics and psychology. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Ivanov has varied interests that include chronic disease management, international medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, and gastroenterology. In her spare time she enjoys reading, running, and the study of world cultures.


Rina Mehta, MD is originally from Easton, PA. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and Spanish from Bryn Mawr College. She then went on to earn her medical degree from St. George’s University. Dr. Mehta has special interests in women’s health, global health, preventative medicine, and procedures. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, hiking, scuba, and improving her cooking skills.


Shobha Patil, MD is originally from Houston, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology and computer information system management from Houston Baptist University. She then attended Ross University School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree. Dr. Patil has special interests in outpatient and preventative medicine. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.


Sayed Rohani, MD is a NJ native, originally from Dumont. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He then went on to earn his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Dr. Rohani has special interests in hospital medicine and international medicine. In his spare time he enjoys basketball, drawing, and writing and illustrating children’s books.


Taylor Shaker, MD is a NJ native from Washington Township, NJ. She studied biology at Ramapo College of NJ, and then went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Shaker has special interests in obstetrics and gynecology. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, baking, and most importantly spending time with her husband and daughter.


Vanessa Tabaac, MD is originally from Lubbock, Texas. She earned a bachelors degree in biology at Texas Tech University. She then went on to earn her medical degree at American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Tabaac has special interests in global health and preventative care. In her spare time she enjoys long distance running and spending time with her husband.

Omar Z. Aiyash, MD

Omar Z. Aiyash, MD is originally from Lemont, Illinois. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Benedictine University in Illinois and then went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University. Dr. Aiyash has special interested in hospital medicine, geriatrics, and procedures. In his spare time he enjoys boating, experimenting with new foods, and traveling.

She attended Rhode Island College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and then went on to earn her medical degree from St. George’s University. Dr. Brooks has special interests in community medicine, women’s health, and international medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys reading historical fiction, dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Daniel R. Gonzalez, MD, is originally from sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He attended Florida State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. He went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University. Dr. Gonzalez has special interests in primary care, sports medicine, and rheumatology. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, boating, and spending time with his wife.

Andrew E. Marino, MD is a NJ native from Wall, NJ. He received a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and then went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University. Dr. Marino has special interests in sports medicine, integrative medicine, and artistic medicine. In his free time he enjoys football, basketball, and cooking.

Nitasha Sharma, MD is originally from Flushing, New York. She attended Stony Brook University where she earned a BA in Psychology. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University. Dr. Sharma has special interests in outpatient and preventive medicine. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.


Isaac Sinai, MD

Isaac Sinai, MD is originally from Toronto, Ontario. He attended York University where he earned a degree in Kinesiology and then went on to earn his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Sinai has special interests in Women’s Health and obstetrics. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball and dog training.  


Olivia Sorial, MD

Olivia Sorial, MD is a NJ native originally from Holmdel. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College in Biological Sciences, and then went on to earn her medical degree from St. George’s University. Dr. Sorial has special interests in prevention, women’s health, and geriatrics. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, cooking.
