Somerset Medical Center recently welcomed Sandy Babey, of Oldwick, vice president of US strategic market development for Ethicon, to its board of trustees. In her new role at Ethicon, Babey oversees customer marketing, health systems account management and alternate sites of care. She is a member of the Ethicon US management board.
She previously served as vice president of US brand marketing for Ethicon Products and worldwide group marketing director for general surgery for Ethicon Products. Before joining Ethicon, Babey served as vice president of managed markets at Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc. She joined Johnson & Johnson in 1998 as director of managed care and reimbursement for the wound healing franchise of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Sandy gained extensive experience leading marketing strategies and field teams in the health care industry.
Babey obtained her bachelor’s of science degree in business from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in health management from New York University.
