Community Sports Medicine Clinics and Outreach Programs

Our clinical team is actively involved in educating athletes, coaches, and parents about injury prevention and recognition. Throughout the year, we provide programs to the community focused on topics such as concussions, injury conditions, proper strength building, flexibility, conditioning, endurance, and training techniques to minimize the risk of injury occurrence. Over the years, we have helped thousands of individuals to better understand how to care for their bodies before, during and after participating in athletics.

These are done in a variety of formats and are sometimes for the athletes, parents, coaches, or all of them together. In the past we’ve held sports clinics geared toward education for the athletes with more of a physical component. Sometimes sessions will have education for the parents or training techniques for injury prevention for coaches. We also frequently hold community discussions that may be on a particular injury or sport-specific problem and how to treat or help prevent it- such as ACL injuries, concussion treatment, and shoulder injuries in the overhead throwing athlete.

We are always looking for feedback from the community as well. Let us know if you have a specific interest on a topic you’d like us to cover. We can even arrange a program onsite if you have a league or team that could benefit.
