Somerset Medical Center’s Blood Donor Program is now mobile. For the first time, the medical center will be conducting blood drives throughout Central New Jersey this fall, making it even easier for you to save lives in your community. A donation of one pint of blood can save up to two lives. All blood donations are used for patients at Somerset Medical Center.
Upcoming blood drives include:
- Steeplechase Cancer Center Blood Drive, Monday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center, 30 Rehill Ave., Somerville. To schedule an appointment, call Nicole Greco at 908-685-2991.
- Bridgewater Township Blood Drive, Tuesday, Oct. 22, 3 to 7 p.m., Municipal Building, 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater. To schedule an appointment, call Chris Poulsen at 908-725-5750.
- Raritan Borough Blood Drive, Thursday, Nov. 7, 3 to 7 p.m., Municipal Building, 22 First Street, Raritan. To schedule an appointment, call Don Tozzi at 908-338-0000.
- Hillsborough Fire Department Blood Drive, Thursday, Nov. 21, 3 to 7 p.m., Hillsborough Fire Department, Route 206, Hillsborough. To register, call Nicole Greco at 908-685-2991.
Donors must be 17 years old and weight at least 110 pounds. Donors who are 16 may donate with parental consent and need to weigh at least 120 pounds.
All donors will be entered into a raffle to win a pair of tickets to the 2014 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium.
Somerset Medical Center’s Blood Donor Program also accepts appointments and walk-ins for blood donation Monday through Friday at the medical center at 110 Rehill Ave., Somerville.
