Stress Test Laboratory
The stress test laboratory at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is equipped with the latest sophisticated technology for the diagnosis of heart disease. Testing available at the laboratory includes treadmill exercise stress testing, bicycle exercise stress testing, exercise stress testing with thallium and/or MYOVIEW™ perfusion studies.
The lab also performs single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) perfusion imaging, dipyridamole perfusion studies, exercise echocardiography, dobutamine echocardiography, and multigated acquisition (MUGA) scan, a nuclear scan that evaluates pumping function of the ventricles. These represent the cutting edge in non-invasive diagnosis of ischemic heart disease.
Stress testing is performed and interpreted by expert staff, cardiologists and nuclear medicine specialists.
