RWJ University Hospital Foundation Names New Leader

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Piscataway resident Brian D. Agnew has been named Senior Vice President, Development for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) and Executive Director of The RWJ University Hospital Foundation.
 
Agnew is a seasoned development officer, who comes to RWJUH from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where he led its second largest unit, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences - Newark. As Assistant Dean of Advancement and External Relations, he was responsible for strategic oversight of the development, communication and external relations efforts.  Over the past six years, Agnew has been the Chief Advancement Officer, providing vision and guidance for more than $15 million raised toward undergraduate scholarships, fellowships, faculty research funds and a variety of other projects around the university.

Prior to his six years at Rutgers, Agnew served as Director of Annual Giving at Utica College in New York.
 
Agnew has a Bachelors Degree from Utica College, a Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University, and will be completing his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Rutger's School of Communication and Information.
 
He holds an appointment as Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University’s School of Communication and Information and is a frequent guest speaker on topics such as leadership, fundraising, higher education organizational structures, and increased effectiveness through collaborative interactions.
