Your Guide to Being a Patient

When it comes to patient care, the staff of medical professionals across all of our New Jersey facilities strives to maintain an environment for patients and their families that will make recovery even easier. To do this, our hospitals and health centers try to keep every patient’s needs in mind.

At Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), this is no different. We want you be ready for your visit with us. To do that, here are a few need-to-knows that will hopefully make your time with us more pleasant.

Parking

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital offers a variety of parking options for our visitors and guests.

Valet Parking

Patients are encouraged to use the Valet Parking Service in front of the main hospital. Valet service is available Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Parking Deck Options

We also offer three, self-pay parking decks options.

  • Main Hospital Parking Deck is located adjacent to the facility, and is available 24-hours-a-day, seven days-a-week.
  • Plum Street Parking Deck (located on Plum Street) is available to patients, visitors and guests 24-hours-a-day, seven days-a-week.
  • Paterson Street Parking Deck (located on Paterson Street and across from the Clinical Academic Building) is available to patients, visitors and guests 24-hours-a-day, seven days-a-week.

ATM

For your convenience, an automated teller machine (ATM) is located adjacent to The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital main lobby.

WiFi

The hospital offers free public wireless internet access on the RWJBarnabas Health Guest Network. Connect to the “BHGuest” network. Please check with your nursing unit or the reception desk for the current password.
